We’re very lucky to be partnering with Bucketworks to make PhotoCampMilwaukee2 happen. The folks involved have a great track record of putting on “user-generated” events, and besides the first PhotoCamp we held in 2009, they’ve also been involved with DrawCamp, BarCampMilwaukee, QueerCamp, and other events where people can learn new things.
Speaking of learning… what is a day of learning worth to you? If you can learn just 5 things you didn’t know before you attended PhotoCamp, what would it be worth? $100? $50? $25?
If you see value in PhotoCamp, and want to make it run as smoothly as possible, please consider becoming a sponsor, or at least donating something to make it happen.
Bucketworks is a non-profit organizations, and a program of The School Factory, which is dedicated to transforming education. It’s a great resource for Milwaukee, and we’re excited to make PhotoCamp happen, but we do need some financial support in the process.
So where does the money go? One of the things we try to do during these events is provide meals for the attendees. This helps people stay focused on sharing, teaching, and learning, and not worry about where they may need to go outside of the venue to get food. We also need to help Bucketworks pay the rent so they can keep hosting great events like this.
Often a conference pass will cost hundreds of dollars… add travel costs to that, and it can easily be over a thousand bucks. So for much less ($100 to $250) you can actually sponsor PhotoCamp. That’s right. Your company can help make the event happen. And you can invite all of your employees. And their friends. And anyone else who loves photography.
Sounds like a sweet deal to me. Help us out… Sponsor or Donate today.
Thanks!
